Android 7.0 Nougat starts rolling out to Nexus devices

So Android 7.0 Nougat is finally official now, and the update for the same started rolling out to the eligible devices. This list of eligible devices only includes the Nexus devices, so if you have one, then you are going to be among the first ones to get the taste of this new OS. The list of eligible devices is as follows –

• Nexus 6P
• Nexus 5X
• Nexus 6
• Nexus 9
• Nexus Player
• Pixel C
• Android One Devices

Do make a note that the rollout may take several weeks depending upon your region etc. But users will receive a notification for the OTA Update on their devices.

Talking about the OS itself, there are a handful of new features that are added to this new version. The most important one being the multi-window functionality. This allows you to run two apps at the same time. The new version also comes with a tweaked version of Doze mode for better performance. Other noteworthy features are New Emojis, Vulkan graphics API, dedicated VR Mode, ability to send direct replies from the notifications, a built-in battery saver mode and more.
